I am a food watcher.................

So I had my RNY weight loss surgery 5/26/09. The first few days were very tough. I am not a big fan of hospitals but I put on my big girl pants and was there for 2 and a half days. The Dr was awesome and did a great job. The nurses were kind, caring and very helpful. But when Thursday rolled around I was ready to leave. I just could not stand another day in the hospital. Did I mention that my entire stay there was construction from 7/8am til 5/6pm...not a restful environment at all.

I am still coming to grips on what I had done to my body. I am still acclimating to my new lifestyle/ pouch. I am not sorry I did the WLS I am just having after surgery blues...mixed in with "I did the right thing" moments. At first I was so gun ho that I really did not think how hard it would really be. I did not think that getting water and two protein shake in would be so hard. I did not think I would be in as much pain as I was, it only lasted five days. Then on the sixth day day I woke up It was not horrible pain just uncomfortable.

I am so glad I checked in here! I am glad to know you are okay. I had no clue you had it done already. I hope you are recovering well and feeling better. I have had 2 c-sections and that's the only thing I can relate to you with on the surgery part. I remember the pain. Don't doubt yourself! You are already a success. You did it! Got through all the garb and red tape and got it done. For your long term health, you will thank yourself one day! I am so so proud of you, it had to be frightening. Keep in touch! (are you on facebook?)
